But all the members of the Phipps Expedition seem to have ulterior motives… It’s 1926 and we find ourselves near Alpe d’Huez in the French Alps. Tomorrow, a group of intrepid mountaineers will set out to do… what exactly? Some want to climb mountains, others are suspiciously keen to stay down in the valleys. And for some reason there’s a ditsy chorus girl who just wants everyone to be friends. Tempers fray and egos clash, and when one of the group is brutally murdered the expedition ends before it has even begun. Can Inspector Halliday solve the case before the murderer strikes again?
